The Nutcracker ON TOUR

BTQ President Mr Kenneth McCarthy wrote in his 1988 annual report that for the first time Rockhampton dance students were trained and used in various sections of the ballet. This brought additional audiences to the two performances, thus improving the financial outcome with the near capacity houses. Although not a major financial success it was an artistic success. Produced by Wendy and Judith Lowe, this full version of The Nutcracker featured two young stars from The Australian Ballet School in the key roles: Bernadette Ceravolo danced The Sugan Plum Fairy and Andrew Hull danced The Prince.
